Similar Page and Duplicate Content Checker
Making Sure You Aren't the Same
With our similar page and duplicate content testing tool, you can check to see if you have duplicate content across the web, or duplicate content on your own website. Please use our Similar Page Checker, (Provided by WebConfs) to check for duplicate content. Duplicate or similar content is one of the mathmatical factors in your search engine ranking. Google states in their webmaster guidelines for duplicate content that they like to see "rich authoritative content". Part of that includes unique content that is helpful to users. If you have a high percentage of content that is the same or similar, you may be negatively affecting your ranking as a result. The quote below is directly from Google Webmaster Guidelines, regarding similar or duplicate content:
"Google tries hard to index and show pages with distinct information....in the rare cases in which Google perceives that duplicate content may be shown with intent to manipulate our rankings and deceive our users, we'll also make appropriate adjustments in the indexing and ranking of the sites involved. As a result, the ranking of the site may suffer, or the site might be removed entirely from the Google index, in which case it will no longer appear in search results."
